Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if I knock out a tooth?
Pick up the tooth by the crown (not the root), rinse it gently with water if dirty, and try to reinsert it into the socket. If that is not possible, keep it moist by placing it in milk or between your cheek and gum. Call us immediately โ the sooner you are seen, the better the chance of saving the tooth.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Any situation involving severe pain, swelling, bleeding, a knocked-out or loosened tooth, a broken tooth with sharp edges, or signs of infection (swelling, fever, or a pimple on the gums) should be treated as an emergency. When in doubt, call us and we will help you determine the urgency.
Do you see emergency patients who are not existing patients?
Yes. We welcome new patients with dental emergencies. Please call us at (440) 708-0900 and we will do our best to accommodate you as quickly as possible.
What if my emergency happens after hours?
